Working with a Miami brand

Fort Lauderdale and Miami share a metro area and a time zone, so we can meet in person for the parts of a project that go better around a table, such as the kickoff and the architecture plan review, and work remotely the rest of the time.

If you sell to customers outside the US, the architecture decisions start early: one store with Shopify Markets or separate expansion stores, which currencies and languages to offer, and how checkout and pricing behave in each market. Those choices shape the theme, the app stack and your reporting, so I settle them before the build starts.

What working locally means

  • In-person kickoff

We can map your catalog, apps and integrations together at your office or a meeting place in South Florida.

  • Same time zone

We're both on US Eastern Time, so calls and handoffs happen during your working day.

  • International-ready plans

Markets, currencies, languages and store structure decided before the build, not patched in after.

How a Miami project usually starts

From first call to plan

  1. 20-minute architecture call

We talk through where the store is today and what is holding it back. You leave knowing which offer fits, or that you don't need one yet.

  2. Kickoff, in person or remote

For a build or an audit, we map the catalog, apps, integrations and markets you sell in. Meeting in person is optional.

  3. Architecture plan

I write down how the store should be built and why: data model, apps, integrations, Markets and checkout.

  4. Build or fix list

An audit ends with a prioritized fix list and a walkthrough call. A build moves straight into the theme and launch QA.

The store behind the storefront

Build around how your customers shop.

A Shopify project is more than a new homepage. Your catalog, navigation, product pages, cart, and operations need to work together. I start with what you sell, how customers choose, and where your team spends time working around the store.

Whether you sell from one city or serve customers across several regions, the scope starts with your store and customers. A focused review can help separate a theme problem from a product-content gap, an integration issue, or a process that needs to change.

  • 01 · Product discovery

Help shoppers find the right product

Plan collections, navigation, search, and filters around the questions customers bring to your catalog. Product attributes, variants, and merchandising should make choices clearer on mobile as well as desktop.

  • 02 · Buying confidence

Make product pages do more of the work

Bring the information customers need into the buying journey: product details, variant selection, delivery information, and clear next steps. Review the path from product page to cart for confusing interactions and missing context.

  • 03 · Shopify architecture

Choose a store structure your team can maintain

Define reusable theme sections, product data, and app responsibilities before adding more code. For a migration or rebuild, map the catalog, existing URLs, content, and integration dependencies before deciding what to carry forward.

  • 04 · Ecommerce operations

Connect the storefront to what happens after purchase

Map how inventory, orders, fulfillment, email, and reporting fit into the store. Identify manual handoffs and overlapping apps, then agree which connections belong in the project and how to test them.

A practical plan for your next Shopify project

Start with the business problem, agree on a manageable scope, and check the buying journey before launch.

  1. Understand the store

Share your store URL, what you sell, and the problem you want to solve. For an existing store, useful context includes customer questions, operational friction, and the data you already have.

  2. Choose what to change first

Decide whether the next step is an audit, a focused improvement, or a larger build. Document the theme, app, content, and integration decisions so the scope is clear before implementation.

  3. Review the complete journey

Check collection browsing, product selection, cart behavior, and the relevant checkout and order handoffs. Include mobile use and the tasks your team needs to manage after launch.

FAQ

Common questions

Can we meet in person in Miami?

Yes. I'm based in Fort Lauderdale, in the same South Florida metro area, so in-person meetings for kickoffs and reviews are possible. Day-to-day work runs remotely.

Can you set up a Shopify store that sells internationally?

Yes. I plan the store structure first, either one store with Shopify Markets or separate expansion stores on Plus, then build the theme, checkout and apps around that decision.

Do you work with Miami brands that are just launching?

Yes. The Store Architecture & Build offer is for entrepreneurs launching and brands replatforming. Builds usually take 6 to 10 weeks.

Running a Miami brand on Shopify?

Book a 20-minute architecture call. We can meet in person afterwards if that helps.
